Frequently Asked Questions

  • The fee for counseling is $125 per 50 minute session. In situations that require multiple counselors (i.e. family counseling, certain marriage counseling situations, or group training events), fees will be adjusted to reflect the number of counselors working with you or your family. The fee for counseling with two counselors is $170 per 50 minute session. Payment is due at each session. We accept payment in the form of cash, checks, and major credit cards. A $40 returned check fee will be charged if your check does not clear the bank when presented. text goes here

  • We do not take insurance. However, if your insurance covers “out of network mental health care” some of our counselors are able to provide a super bill for you to submit for reimbursement. It is your responsibility to pay for your session up front and then communicate with your insurance company regarding possible reimbursement. Please call 443-419-3884 for more information on which counselors can provide a super bill.

  • We provide individual counseling services for adults facing difficult mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual struggles. 

    We provide counseling for couples who need help navigating various challenges in their marriages. We also offer premarital counseling to help couples build a strong and trusting foundation for their marriage relationship.  

    We offer counseling that meets the unique needs of children and adolescents. We also offer family counseling to help you work through challenges that impact your whole family. 

    Our counselors are trained to help you with a wide variety of counseling concerns including: 

    Anxiety

    Depression and other concerns related to mood

    Grief and loss

    Family and relational conflict

    Identity issues

    Trauma and abuse

    Sexual brokenness

    ADHD

  • If you need to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment, we require 24 hours notice before your scheduled appointment time. A $62.50 late cancellation fee is incurred to our clients who fail to notify their counselor within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment. A no show fee of $125 is also charged to our clients who do not communicate with their counselor at all. In the case of an emergency that is beyond your control, please reach out to your counselor in order to discuss the potential waive of these fees.

  • Life Counseling Center Ministries typically follows Howard County Public School closings. In the event of inclement weather you will be contacted if your appointment needs to be canceled due to building closure. If you are unsure or have questions about weather related closings contact your counselor or email the office at lccadmin@lifecounselingcenter.org.
