Sandy Cruise, Counselor

Sandy holds her MA in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and her Doctorate in Biblical Counseling with an emphasis on Domestic Abuse in the Church. She is a committed life-long learner and dedicated follower of Christ. Sandy has served as a counselor for 3 years where she meets with women and couples experiencing brokenness. She has experience working with people who are struggling with anxiety/depression, relational conflict, grief, parenting issues, divorce, singleness, OCD, domestic abuse, and spiritual struggles. She is a certified Prepare and Enrich marriage counselor and has been trained in Level 1 Gottman marriage counseling.

Life can be difficult, and counseling can really help someone who feels stuck. Change can happen when someone gets help and begins to move in the right direction. It’s not about perfection or how fast you go, but about redirecting where you are headed. Watching the Lord transform the lives of her counselees is what motivates Sandy to be an instrument in helping others.

Sandy is married to her husband Marc. They have three grown children, a son-in-law, and two cute dogs—one Yorkie named Roman, and a wild little Morkie named Oliver. Sandy has led women’s ministries for years and loves to teach the Bible to others. She is an avid reader and writer, and she loves to take leisurely bike rides.

She and her husband enjoy the beautiful waterways of Maryland and are learning how to sail together.

Sandy offers exclusively virtual counseling.
