Support For Those Serving In Counseling Ministries

Alightstock_178315_640w_textandlogot Life Counseling Center we offer training and workshops throughout the year. At these workshops we often hear of the need for support for people who are doing informal counseling in their churches, small groups, or discipleship situations. Finding a place where they can get continued training, resources, and direction while respecting the confidentiality of the person they are walking with can be a challenge. In effort to support those doing counseling in these settings, we are now offering informal supervision and ongoing training.

Counseling Conversations will begin in January of 2016 and will meet every other month for training and supervision. Each meeting will have a time of training on counseling related topics. Working through case studies, Counseling Conversations will help with equipping and growth in counseling skills. In addition there will be a time for questions and concerns regarding counseling situations participants are engaged in currently. All conversations are confidential and no identifying information will be shared to protect the privacy of others.

We are excited to provide this training and registration is now open. If you or someone in your church could benefit from this kind of training and supervision we encourage you to sign up. If you have further questions please email Eliza Huie at
