How Can We Serve You?

To say that life has changed over the past few weeks would be an understatement. No matter who you are, COVID-19 has likely turned your life upside down. Whether you are an essential worker on the front lines or doing your part as you #stayhome, this is not the way you expected the early months of 2020 to unfold.

Life has changed, but our commitment to serve you has not. Life Counseling Center is still offering a variety of biblical counseling services to individuals, marriages, families, and groups.

We are still accepting new counselees.

Last month, our counseling center office closed to safeguard the health and well-being of everyone we serve. All of our sessions have been moved online and are occurring via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform to safeguard your confidentiality.

We know that many people are facing new challenges, anxieties, and stressors. Depression and anxiety are on the rise. Rates of domestic violence have increased. Isolation and loneliness are more prevalent than ever. Many are grieving the loss of loved ones. Many others are experiencing job loss for the first time.

As you face challenges such as these, we know it is more important than ever that you have a space to share your story, be encouraged by the hope of the gospel, and receive counsel from our trained biblical counselors. We will continue offering online biblical counseling to current and new counselees as long as this adjustment is needed.

In addition to our online counseling sessions, we are also offering two free online support groups to meet the needs of parents and healthcare workers who live in Maryland.

Join a free online support group for parents impacted by COVID-19

In these uncertain times, life as a parent, home-schooler, activity planner, work from home employee, person in the midst of a global pandemic, can be overwhelming.

For parents, you may be experience challenges in supporting the emotional and spiritual health of your child, while also managing your own health during these uncertain times. We all could use a safe space for encouragement and support.

Parents who live in Maryland are invited to join us on Tuesdays from 5PM-6PM for a free online support group. Starting April 20, 2020 – May 25, 2020, Renee Davis, PhD, Life Counseling Center and Jessica Shen, LCSW-C, Maryland Christian Counseling are teaming up to offer this online space.

Many healthcare workers are experiencing immense levels of stress as they anticipate a surge of COVID-19 cases in their workplace. Whether you are a doctor, nurse, or other healthcare professional, the future looms as a frightening unknown.

Fears like these are understandable. And we want you to know that you have not been forgotten as you work on the front lines of this crisis. We see your sacrifice. You are not alone.
