Everyday at Life Counseling Center we see people from all walks of life. We want to always be ready to provide people with a caring counselor when the need arises.

In the past several months we have had the opportunity to expand our counseling staff. We would like to introduce you to the latest addition to our team of counselors. We are very excited to have Esther Smith working with us. Esther brings a strong understanding of the gospel’s hope into her counseling as well as professional care. We are thrilled to have her join with us and we want you to get to know her a little better.

Please welcome Esther Smith. Esther has experience with a wide range of counseling issues. She currently works with teens, young adults, and women. Here areas of special interest are anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, and suffering.

Here is a brief hello from Esther:

Hello from Life Counseling Center. I am truly excited to be here and to introduce myself as a new counselor. Originally from Western Pennsylvania, my husband and I moved to Baltimore about two and a half years ago. Before moving to Maryland, we both attended Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA where I received my BS in Biology. Upon graduating, I quickly realized that science-related jobs were not even remotely interesting to me, and almost on a whim, I decided to take a counseling class through Liberty University. It was immediately clear that God was pointing me in new directions. One class turned into several classes which eventually turned into my Masters, and it has always been amazing to me that I can look back on so many aspects of my life and see that God was preparing me for counseling ministry before it was even a thought in my mind.

Although much of my schooling and counseling background has been in clinical settings, transitioning to biblical counseling at Life Counseling Center has been a natural and refreshing process. The relational-focused counseling I have always practiced has been radically enhanced by the gospel-based perspective of biblical counseling, and I love meeting with individuals each week to hear their stories and show them the love of Christ.
